ZTE's Axon Goes Official for the US with 5.5-inch Display, Snapdragon 810 and Dual-Lens Camera

ZTE has just took the wraps off the company's new high-end Android smartphone for the US market, dubbed the ZTE Axon. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer say the Axon is designed in US for the US market.

The device features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 534 ppi and Gorilla Glass 3. The Axon packs the latest and greatest hardware for a 2015 flagship smartphone in a metallic body and sells for US$450 (around RM1,712).

Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC boasting a 2.0 GHz Octa-core CPU and paired with 4 GB of RAM. The Axon comes with 32 GB of non-expandable storage and juiced up by a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery (with quick charge support).

The ZTE Axon has a dual-lens camera (13 MP + 2 MP) setup with BSI CMOS sensor and dual-LED flash, as well as an 8 MP front snapper. Other specs included 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Hi-Fi recording and audio playback, and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

It will available in Phthalo Blue, Chromium Silver and Ion Gold. ZTE will offer the Axon with a two year warranty and availabe for pre-order in the US with the price tag of $449.98.
