Meet the Asus ZenFone 2 - Featuring 5.5-inch Full HD Display, 64-bit Intel Atom Processor and Up to 4GB of RAM


The Taiwanese company has proudly presented the sequel of its popular ZenFone series smartphone at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The brand new Asus phone dubbed as the ZenFone 2.

The ZenFone 2 sports a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS display with a pixel density of 403 ppi and protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device has a brushed-metal design, rear-mounted volume key and a 72% screen-to-body ratio.


Under the hood, it's powered by either a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 or Z3580 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 2.3 GHz respectively, PowerVR G6430 GPU, and 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM. In term of storage, it will available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of capacity, as well as supporting a microSD card up to 64 GB.

Imaging wise, the new ZenFone 2 packs a 13 MP f/2.0 PixelMaster camera with dual Real Tune Flash and a 5 MP selfie camera. Other features included a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging technology, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 4G LTE connectivity.


The ZenFone 2 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with brand new Zen UI out of the box. Asus added some new features to new Zen UI including ZenMotion which based on touch gestures, one hand mode, SnapView which separate personal/work information and more.

The brand new device will be available in 5 colours: Osmium Black, Glamour Red, Ceramic White, Sheer Gold and Glacier Gray. The ZenFone 2 is expected to carry a price tag starting from $199 (around RM707) and to be available sometime in Q1 2015.
